Welcome to HCCF

The goal of the Heron Creek Community Foundation (HCCF) is to improve the quality of life of the residents of North Port by financially supporting qualified charitable organizations that serve those in need and through other nonfinancial activities.

As of May 18, 2023, HCCF became an independent 501(c)(3) “charitable organization”, which offers a myriad of benefits to the Foundation and the people we serve. For starters, 501(c)(3) organizations are exempt from paying federal income and unemployment taxes, and patrons who donate to them are allowed to claim a tax deduction for their contributions.

Since our founding in 2010, over $750,000 in grants have been awarded to charitable organizations supporting our North Port neighbors in need. In addition, our endowment fund also exceeds $500,000 which will provide ongoing funding for future grants. Beyond financial support, our Foundation has facilitated the collection of tons of food for local food pantries, assisted our elderly neighbors, and helped provide Christmas cheer for deserving children in the community.

Membership is open to all current and former residents of Heron Creek and all current and former members of Heron Creek Golf & Country Club.
