The 2019 annual membership meeting will be held on January 18, 2019 at 10:00 am in the Main Dining Room.  At that meeting four new directors will be elected and the last year of the Foundation will be reviewed.   All members are invited to all Annual Membership Meetings.  Members who cannot attend are asked to complete a proxy assigning their vote to the Board or anyother member.  A PROXY can be found by clicking "Read More" below and can be printed by clicking the PRINT button in the upper right-hand corner.

This is to advise you that the 2019 HCCF Membership Meeting will take place as follows:

                   -- DATE:  Friday, January 18, 2019

                   -- TIME:  10:00 am

                   -- PLACE:  Main Dining Room at the Clubhouse



AGENDA ITEM TO BE DETERMINED BY THE MEMBERSHIP:

             Election of New Directors:

The membership will be electing four new Directors to fill the seats currently filled by Jerry Stevens, Lynda Gifford and Paul Plaza whose terms expire as well as a vacant seat previously filled by Lee Davies.  

The Nominating Committee has submitted the names of the following members to fill those seats:

BRIEF BIOS FOR NOMINEES for 2019 BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOMINATIONS:

GREG LOOS

Greg is a Professional Business Owner for over 10 years with multiple websites

currently open for trade. He has 12 years of experience in the private, semiprivate and public golf course industry. He is currently serving as the Chair for the 2019 Heron Creek Community Foundation Golf Tournament. His charitable and philanthropic experiences include but are not limited to Habitat for

Humanity in Atlanta, GA, Community Food Bank and Children’s Meal Service in Cummings, GA, Heron Creek Community Foundation Golf Tournament, Children’s Back Pack, Heron Creek Tree Angels and the Heron Creek Foundation Wine Tasting.



DIANA MISSIG

Diana has worked in Marketing and Public Relations for the past 25 years. She received degrees in Allied Health Sciences USC, California and is Hotel Restaurant, Hospitality Management Certified. She is a St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation Board Member assisting with the golf outing, annual gala and fundraising. She also has been involved in the Joliet Area Community Hospice 
Fashion Show, Exchange Club of Joliet, Joliet Chamber of Commerce, March of Dimes and the Heron Creek Social Committee.



MARY BOWERSOCK

Mary has a bachelor’s degree in social work and a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling. She worked for twenty-two years with the State of Michigan Family Independent Agency. She was a policy analyst, social services supervisor and a social services case worker. She has participated in various fund raising activities for the Heron Creek Community Foundation. “I strongly believe in the importance of promoting strong, healthy families, particularly for children’s futures. Often a small intervention can have significant benefits to a family or individual preventing the need for major monetary or supportive services later.”



JENNIFER STRIEBY

Jennifer is a lawyer and former business owner. Her charitable work includes fundraisers for The Inner City Youth Foundation, The Northside Neighborhood House and Interfaith Hospitality. Recently she has been working with cancer patients and their families on how to gain access to chemotherapy drugs they can afford. “The concept of helping those in our community is important because I believe charity begins at home. To be part of an organization that wants to 
better our community would be a privilege.
