
Over the years, the committee has facilitated the collection of tons of food to tackle this problem. They have advertised to the entire Heron Creek neighborhood and volunteers have worked many hours transportating and sorting non-perishable food items. These goods are then presented to the food pantries in local schools, which are operated and controlled by school staff to be shared solely with those in need.
2019 HCCF FOOD DRIVE

Once again, your neighbors on the HCCF (Heron Creek Community Foundation) Community Service Committee are asking you to open your hearts and pantries to help the feed homeless and needy families of North Port. This year we are excited to be partnering with All Faiths Food Bank. This partnership allows us to broaden our reach to the neediest members of our community by servicing both North Port Schools and mobile food pantries in our city. In addition, AFFB has the ability to triple the value of our monetary contributions through their purchasing network.
